The National School Breakfast Programme.
The DfE Funded Project for Schools Programme offers support to approx 1775 schools in disadvantaged areas of the UK, ensuring every child has access to a healthy breakfast at the start of the school day. The programme is funded using monies from the soft drinks levy and is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.
The programme is built around a simple core aim: to ensure that no child is too hungry to learn.
Our school has joined the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP), which is being delivered by the charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast.
As a NSBP School we are pleased to offer a healthy school breakfast, available to all, and enjoy the benefits that brings, with children settled and ready to learn at the start of the school day.
We offer the following to all our pupils:
We offer a variety of cereal and a drink or either milk or water for 20p per serving. Breakfast Club is open from 8:15am until the start of school.
Each child is offered half a toasted, buttered bagel each morning during registration. Any child that is late is also offered a bagel when they arrive.
Every morning our breakfast monitors help butter and deliver the bagels to their class.
